I must be missing something? What is the problem with the Basildon plant?

I know of many NHs built there (and own a TS115), and I cant fault any workmanship. Case IHs have historically always been worse second hand sellers than Ford/NH. Indeed many people say the worst part of the Case - NH deal was the loss of the CS series tractors manufactured by Steyr in Austria, which prove to be far more reliable that C-IH's own designs despite only originally being a stopgap measure.

The Case MXM, being a well tested TM series tractor can hardly be described as 'junk'. Undoubtedly some tractors will have problmes (John Deere 6x20's have had their share of teething problems...), but it seems strange to say such a huge seller is 'Junk'.

But I stand to be corrected.
