Ford 7610 1000 RPM PTO

Posted by Kevin in MA on December 22, 2004 at 16:28:28 from (63.64.18.254):

I have a Ford 1988 Ford 7610 (series II), 4x4, loader, open station. I will be doing some hay next year and was thinking of a disk mower conditioner. It seems that some of the bigger used machines (NH 1431) with 1000 RPM PTOs are cheaper than the 540 machines. The 7610 can have a 1000 RPM PTO; is it an "and" or an "or" situation. Can I have shafts for both and run a 1000 moco and then a 540 bailer, or do I have to choose one.

Thanks in advance for the info.
Kevin
